Up on the plains of North Dakota where the sky, the weather and your imagination is your world I grew up reading, exploring, imagining, drawing, painting, making things - creating an alternative existence I now realize.

Having attended art courses there at home I continued them in Arizona and California interspersing college with life education in places as varied as Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe and San Diego in roles as varied as sign painter, carpenter and bartender.

My BFA in painting and graphic design came from Moorhead State University in Minnesota after which I spent nearly 20 years in the graphic arts industry as illustrator, designer, production manager and eventually print buyer and quality control based in Los Angeles.

Fortunately, life often impinges to steer us in the right direction and I was brought back to my love of creating spending 6 great years in the set industry in Southern California learning numerous skills from extremely talented, creative and innovative people.

Now I’ve come home again to the Midwest and am still exploring and learning and creating but now from a much richer place. I am very fortunate to have known the experiences, people and places I have and to have learned all I have. All this plus my love of color and texture, rhythm and implied motion makes me confident I can add to lives with my work.
